Bringing a different wall system to San Antonio.
The Nuform concrete wall system — formerly known as the Royal Building System — was more than a new material to learn. Before homes could be built with it locally, approvals and acceptance had to be worked through. Jeff Bussey played an integral role in getting the system accepted for residential construction in San Antonio, including city approval and insurance acceptance, then putting it to work in the field as a General Contractor.
More than learning a new wall system.
The value of this experience was not simply knowing how the product worked. It was understanding the system, helping clear the path for its use, and then managing it as part of actual residential construction.
Understand the System
Learn how the permanent PVC formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete core, openings, bracing, and sequencing work together before the system reaches the field.
Gain Local Acceptance
Work through the city approval and insurance requirements needed before the system could be used for residential construction in San Antonio.
Build With It
Coordinate the crews, reinforcement, concrete placement, openings, bracing, and follow-on work required to turn the system into completed homes.
Installation to completed home.
These photo sets document the wall system during installation, concrete placement, framing integration, and completed residential construction.
The point isn’t only the wall system.
The value is what it required: learn a different construction method, work through the approval and insurance issues needed to use it locally, coordinate the details, and then deliver it in the field.
That combination of technical understanding, problem solving, coordination, and follow-through is the same kind of experience Jeff brings to a Project Manager role.
